I Can Only Imagine!
The Lord’s Word says:
1 Corinthians 14: 22
Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.
( The hidden spiritual meaning is ) They that speak in new tongues are referred to as believers ( sons/daughters of God ) and all others, that do not speak in tongues, are considered nonbelievers ( even the child/children of God are temporarily in this nonbeliever state till Christ be formed in them, in which they have up to 48 months/3 and a half years from their repentance/conversion in which to accomplish, speaking in new tongues! )
Mark 16: 17
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
( The hidden spiritual meaning is ) Here our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ confirms that the sign of speaking in new tongues, is done by the believer!
Romans 8: 26
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
( The hidden spiritual meaning is ) Speaking in other tongues is praying and worshiping God in the Spirit. This is also the only way anyone can truely worship God. All else, in ones own understanding, is just being thankful, praising, etc. ( which is also needful and required ).
Romans 8: 9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
( The hidden spiritual meaning is ) If any one is not baptized with the Holy Ghost/Spirit and with fire ( speaking in other tongues ) he is in a natural state ( not in a Spiritual state ) a unbeliever, lost and their soul is damned ( being in a sanctified marriage would be an exception here ).
Matthew 3: 11
I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
( The hidden spiritual meaning is ) Our Father, the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes the believer with the Holy Ghost and with fire ( speaking in other tongues ) and not with His Holy Spirit/Ghost, only!
Acts 2: 3 &4
And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
( The hidden spiritual meaning is ) Here gives us a prime example of believers being baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire ( speaking in other tongues! )
